Waymark is directory software for operators and agencies. It is built and run in the UK.

The problem it solves

A local directory is easy to start and hard to make pay. The work is not any single feature — it is the joins between them. Finding the businesses is one problem, generating pages that actually rank is another, getting owners to claim and then pay for their listing is a third, and each one is usually a different tool with a different bill.

Waymark is those parts in one place, wired to each other: discovery, AI-drafted content, a static build that deploys to a CDN, the claim and verification flow, and Stripe billing with per-feature entitlements. One instance runs as many directory brands as you can sell, fully isolated from one another.

How it is built

Every published page is static HTML on a CDN. There is no PHP and no database at the edge, which means a traffic spike costs bandwidth and nothing else, and there is no application server exposed for anyone to attack. Sites rebuild nightly so what is live never drifts from the data behind it.

Data and compliance

Directories hold other people’s business data, so the platform treats that as a liability rather than a feature. Every field records the source it came from and who owns it, so an owner’s correction is never overwritten by a later import. UK GDPR Article 15 export and Article 17 erasure run from the owner portal instead of landing in your inbox. Raw records pulled from third-party APIs expire on a schedule rather than accumulating.

This marketing site holds itself to the same line: it sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from anyone else’s servers — the fonts are self-hosted rather than fetched from Google. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
